We took a road trip north of the city to do schoolwork and mess about outside with a quick tour of Stone Barns Center for Agriculture. It was fascinating but since then I have been wondering about organic agriculture as it is currently practiced. How much of it is the restoration of historic techniques and how much is more recent innovations? I suppose I will have to wait until winter to read up on this because the assignments have already begun for the Fall semester.
